Knysna Eia Summary Report

The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) regulations (Section 21(1), Government Gazette No.
18261), under the Environmental Conservation Act (Act 73 of 1989), Schedule 1 identifies activities
that may have a substantial detrimental effect on the environment. Table 1.1 shows the Regulation
1182 activities relevant to the construction of the N2 Knysna Toll Highway as activities with the
potential to cause a substantial effect on the environment.
